All standard speedometers，of any medium，have tolerances in reporting the speed read. These tolerances，in some cases，can lead to significant errors in the displayed value.
The reading of the speed signal is also closely linked to the type (diameter) of rubber used but above all to the final ratio.
Therefore，by changing the type of rubber (for example shoulder height) or the ratio (acting on the number of pinion or crown teeth)，the values indicated by the factory mounted speedometer are significantly distorted.
For example，by reducing the number of teeth of the pinion by one，you can easily run into an error (for the gear ratio only) of about 7％.
So how can you do to get accurate readings？ There is no need to replace the speedometer with a precision instrument，just use a calibrator.
Speed Clibrator is inserted in series with the original sensor signal and makes the necessary corrections without introducing any delay，restoring the correct speed reading.
The small size and negligible weight allow it to be installed in confined spaces.
The internal resin coating of the components makes it very resistant to vibrations and practically indestructible.
